PURPOSE:To remove volatile matter adhered to, or adsorbed by solid decomposition product and to cool the product to a temperature at which no ignition occurs by the contact of high temperature solid decomposition product, which is obtained by the thermal decomposition of waste tires etc., with a gas such as water vapor which causes no deterioration in the quality of carbonized material.
