Catalyst unit for used engine oil burner - has support for horizontal catalyst rings placed on support steps

The catalyst unit is used in an evaporating burner for liquid fuels and it has fan for supplying air. The catalyst unit is used for efficient combustion of use engine lubricant oil. The volume of the flame is reduced under all operating conditions to ensure complete combustion. The unburnt combustion residues are collected and the cleaning of the burner is facilitated. The catalyst unit (1) has a sheet metal shell (6) which rests on the floor of the evaporating burner. The shell (6) has several identical sheet metal plates which project upwards. On these plates (7) are placed catalyst elements (4, 5) in the shape of metal rings. Plates (7) project upwards beyond the shell (6) towards each other and they are connected at their upper part by a fastener (8). Each plate (7) has several steps (9) for supporting the catalyst rings (4, 5).
