<p>The mechanism forms banknotes, drafts, cheques, etc. into bundles, and has a controllable unit parting off a strip of paper, plastics sheet, etc. delivered by rollers or other means, into the desired lengths. The strip lengths are then folded round the stacked papers and joined at the ends. The folding and joining mechanism can comprise a support plate (P), which can be lowered in relation to other plates bearing against it, and against which the notes etc. are pressed by a ram etc (H). A folder plate (L) slides in the lengthwise direction of the paper strip (B) in relation to these other plates, so as to take the strip ends, folded by the lowering of the support plate, above the notes and one above the other, after which the ends are joined together.</p> |
