Dental casting vessel - contg. heated crucible and mould with heated reservoir to feed mould cavity and eliminate shrinkage cavities

Device for casting metal bodies, partic. dental casting bodies, consists essentially of a casting vessel that be sealed gas-tight containing a melting crucible that can be heated and a mould. Between them, a melt reservoir that can be heated and designed as a hollow body is provided. The lower part fits on the crucible via a centring projection and the upper part fits in a recess in the mould. The external shape of the reservoir may be conical. Device produces castings free from shrinkage cavities by providing relatively hot metal to the mould from the reservoir.
