1309430 Label applicator TAPELER CORP 23 July 1970 [28 Aug 1969] 19723/71 Divided out of 1309428 Heading B8F In an adaptation of a tape applicator described in Specification 1,309,428 so as to use adhesive tape with a removable interliner, the tape is passed over a guide roller 100 before being passed to the tape applying carriage. Further rollers 102-104 ensure that a substantial angle is formed in the tape at roller 100, and a fixed stripper 105 removes the interliner 98 from the tape. The roller 100 is supported between plates 101 and a shoulder on the stripper abuts the end of said plates adjacent roller 100, an edge 111 of the stripper being in the plane of the tape on the infeed side of the roller and also being parallel to the roller. A slot 107 extends through the stripper to lead the interliner away, the space between the edge 111 and the roller 100 being small so as to prevent entrainment of the interliner therein. |
