Painting system for interior of commercial vehicle body - uses conveyor on which body is moved relative to controlled paint spray head

The automatic system is designed to paint the interior walls of a light van body passing along a principal conveyor. There is also an auxiliary conveyor and system for passing the coach body from the principal conveyor onto the auxiliary conveyor, painting of the interior of the coach body being carried out on the auxiliary conveyor. After painting the coach body is transferred back to the principal conveyor. The system has an automatic painting machine which has a painting head (32) supported by a cantilever arm. The auxiliary conveyor has a mechanism for bringing the coach body into a position such that the painting head is placed inside the coach body. The mechanism also displaces the coach body with respect to the painting head.
