<p>Chlorofluoropyridines are prepd. by replacing 2,4 and/or 6-chlorine atoms in the corresp. chloropyridines by heating at 160-225 degrees with 1.5-2.5 mol. dry KF/atom replaceable Cl, in a polar aprotic solvent (pref. tetra-methylene sulphone) contg. 0.2-1% (at is not >2%) H2O. Some of the products are herbicide intermediates.</p> |
