A multiplexing connection network is used in a telegraphic automatic switching system where transmitted data is in digital form. The network is divided into groups with input and output memories for each group. The network comprises an input stage and an output stage and also a selection stage divided into switching groups. The input and output stages include individual memory units while the switching group contains a unique memory to which the input memories have access via a multiplexer. All the memories of a switching group have access to output memories via a selector. The outputs of each switching memory group is multiplexed into output group access selectors and to the connection network.
