The contact element consists of a number of bare metal conductors corresponding to the number of junction contacts of the components. These conductors run parallel to one another and are fastened on a tape-like carrier of insulating material. The conductors together with the carrier are bent so that a U-shaped, resilient contact element is formed, with the carrier on the inside. The contact element can be bent round a supporting element made of elastic insulating material. This supporting element is rectangular. The contact faces of the contact element can be gold-plated.
