Friction clutch for spindle presses - has plate with friction pads on driven shaft and has short travel

The friction clutch is used esp. in spindle presses. The output shaft carries spring plate with friction pads on its edges, fitted between circular driving components which can be moved axially for clamping friction pads between them on transmitting drive. The clutch requires only short actuating displacements to ensure rapid connection and low pressurised fluid consumption. The friction pads (23, 24, 25, 26) are arranged on two opposite edges of the spring plate (6) along straight line with their inner side (27) facing the output shaft (5). These straight lines are arranged parallel to each other. The friction pads are continuous rectangular strips.
