The mat comprises fibres of aromatic polyamides which consist of ring form aromatic components in contrast to the straight chain polyamides such as perlon and nylon. These fibres have extraordinarily good thermal stability over the range from -200 degrees C to +250 degrees C. No significant distortion takes place in the length and width of the pressure compensating surface within this temp. range. The yarn system can be worked together with other suitable materials such as rubber in multifilament or monofilament form. The compact rubber mat can be used for bonding and for ensuring sufficient heat flow. The air and heat permeable pressure compensation mat is made without using mineral fibres such as asbestos or rubber. The pressure compensation mat ensures sufficient heat transfer and it maintains its properties over long periods under pressure and heat. The yarn system can be used in the form of warp and weft.
