The cleaning attachment for a record player comprises a brush (6) which moves across the surface of the record in conjunction with the movement of the record player tone arm. A chemically inactive ionisable cleaning fluid is supplied to the brush (6) via a supply conduit incorporated in the carrier arm for the cleaning attachment. The brush (6) is held by a ring (5) which is rotatable via a pin (7) extending from the ring (5) over a given range, to adjust the amount of fluid supplied to the brush (6).
