The toothed auxiliary support is esp. for fibre boards used in recessed ceilings and prevents bowing caused by creeping which is partic. likely with large mineral fibre boards. The support has at least two teeth with sharp ends. The teeth penetrate the board mounting arrangement. The teeth (2) can be either similar or different. A toothed coupling arrangement is chosen so that when the support (1) is rotated the teeth (2) engage with the board teeth for fixing. Additionally, the circular surface can have two pairs (3, 4) of fixing elements for a T-profile. Furthermore, a central tongue (5) can have a fixing aperture at its end.
