Cutting or scarfing burner for moving billets - is held on counterbalanced beam travelling along billet travel path

The cutting or scarfing burner is used for a billet transported on a roller table. The burner is held during the cutting or scarfing process at constant distance above the moving billet. The burner arrangement is counterbalanced by a simple, reliable and economical arrangement. The burner (11) is arranged at one end (21) of a balanced lever (23). A counterweight (25) compensating the burner weight is fitted at the other end of this lever. This beam is supported between its ends by a supported shaft (25) and is able to rotate. The lever is orientated in the direction of the billet transporting movement and it is held over the billet by (25) held on supports (27) arranged on both sides of the billet (13). The supports can travel along the billet travel direction.
