Hydraulic actuating system with emergency stop - has manual pump and brake system used as emergency actuating unit

Hydraulic actuator with emergency actuator and brake is exposed to external forces and has provision for dealing with oil leakage. The emergency manual actuation and the brake arrangements form a functional unit. The manually operated pump (2) connected to the actuating drive (1) is used as emergency manual actuator. The fluid flow from the actuating drive (1) is used to actuate the automatically clamping brake (21). The hydraulic cylinder (23) acting in association with the brake is multi-chamber cylinder (24, 25). One chamber system (24) is connected directly with the outlet pipe (27) of the hand pump. The other chamber system (25) is charged by the supply pressure. The pipes (28, 29) supplied by hand pump (2) are closed when the system is loaded by the hydraulic motor via control valve.
