<p>The framework of the hammer is built up from four sections. Two of the sections at each side are connected to one another with bolts. The two sets of sections are interconnected at top and bottom with traverse plates to form a rigid structure. The piston-cylinder units are mounted near the side sections. Openings are made in the side sections which are level with the forging plane. The size of the openings is such, the workpieces which are to be forged can be passed through these openings. The piston/cylinder units are mounted off the centre plane of the structure.</p> |
