Cold rolling plant for very long tubes - in which finish cold rolls pipe blank is bent from rolling line on completion

The tube blank is cold rolled in stages to a finished tube. The tubes of great lengths are rolled without disturbances and scrap with high stroke frequency. The first section of the finished tube is rolled freely. This pipe section is worked by compressive and tensile stress peaks caused by the rotation and feed acceleration. The second finished tube section is held by external effects acting on the finished pipe at values independent of the finished tube length. After this first section of the finished tube has been completed then a section of the finished tube is guided out of the rolling line by elastic bending.
