1511370 Moulding compositions BASF AG 17 Sept 1975 [18 Sept 1974] 38173/75 Heading C3R A moulding composition comprises (a) 100 parts by weight of alinear, saturated polyester and (b) 1 to 25 parts by weight of a graft copolymer having a glass transition temperature below - 20‹ C. derived from (i) 10-99% by weight of an acrylate of a Cl-15 alcohol free from olefinic unsaturation and (ii) 1-90% by weight of a monomer bearing at least two olefinic double bonds, grafted with (iii) styrene and/or a methacrylate and/or acrylic or methacrylic acid. The composition may include a diisocyanate and conventional fillers, reinforcing fillers, fire retardants and nucleating agents. The examples describe compositions comprising polybutylene terephthalate and (i) a copolymer of n-butyl acrylate and tricyclodecenyl acrylate grafted with styrene and acrylonitrile or (ii) a copolymer of butyl acrylate, butadiene and methyl vinyl ether grafted with styrene and acrylonitrile. |
