<p>The automatic pistol is fitted with the usual safety catch mechanism, which can be used by right handed or left handed person alike. The safety catch mechanism (10) allows or prevents the trigger operation according the position of the safety catch lever. For use by both left or right handed persons the pistol is fitted with lever (14) and (15) mounted on either side of the housing and connected rigidly to a pin (16), provided with notch (17) in the middle to allow free passage for the cock movement. In addition, the lever (14) is fitted with arm (18) with a lateral projection (19) on its end. The safety mechanism also comprises a small spring loaded piston, the pointed end of which engages with notches on the extended end of pin (9) in such a way that two determined positions of the lever assembly are possible.</p> |
