With a view to recycling, nonreturnable packaging and handling components, made of wood and containing pieces of ferromagnetic metal, are subjected successively to shredding at station (1), to impact milling at station (2), to double magnetic removal of iron at station (3) and to a particle size sorting with double cutoff at station (4).
