1406788 Abrasive tools TYROLITSCHLEIFMITTELWERKE SWAROVSKI KG 30 March 1973 [15 May 1972] 15525/73 Heading B3D An abrasive segment for a wheel, such as a cut-off wheel, having a circular or polygonal blank 1, comprises a body 2 having parallel or part frusto-conical surfaces, a plane plate 3 for securing the segment to the blade and extending partly into the segment, and a fibrous material 12 extending parallel to the plate through the body. A number of the segments may be secured to the blade 1 to form the cut-off wheel, the plates 3 of the segments extending into a peripheral slot 19 in the blade and being secured therein by members 10, 17 which engage countersunk surfaces 7, 8 in the blank and holes 6 in the plates, screws 11 securing the members together. The plates extend partly into the bodies 2 of the segments, and two webs 12 of fibrous material, such as glass fibre, extend, one on each side of the plates, through the bodies 2. |
