Pillow comprises a casing contg. a filling of down, feathers or synthetic fibres or a mixture thereof, fixed to an outer casing, and between the two casing a layer of animal fibre material pref. sheep's wool or camel hair.Pref. the outer casing is fixed to the inner casing along the edges, and to the fibre layer by guilt stitching seams. The outer casing is pref. made of stockinet. The fibre layer and outer casing may be provided on one side only of the pillow.The pillow combines the heat and moisture exchanging properties of the animal fibre layer with the advantages of a feather filling, viz. the possibility of shaking the pillow. Quilt stitching prevents slipping or lump formation in the animal fibre layer.
