<p>Transparent plastic laminate with aesthetic appearance and improved physical properties comprises a metallic-textile structure pref. formed by weaving metal wires, threads or laminae in warp, weft or embroidery work and plated with a precious metal, and pref in relief. The plastic pref. consists of polyester or epoxy resin. The material is mfd. by coating the structure with a paste of transparent plastic in a solvent, and evaporating the solvent to obtain a plastic film thick enough to envelop integrally the relief of the structure. To each side of the resulting laminate is fixed at least one sheet of transparent plastic. The plastic film formed from the paste protects the structure from subsequent deformation while remaining flexible enough to allow easy handling and to be treated in a roll and undergo cutting.</p> |
