The device has a vessel for tobacco to be weighed and a coarse measuring out device. A feeder tube supplies the coarse measuring out device with tobacco with a vibrating channel in turn supplying tobacco from the vessel to the feeder tube. A fine measuring device and a balance with a scale are positioned near the outlets of the coarse and the fine measuring devices. The fine measuring device has a conveyor tube (49) where inlet is near the inlet of the above feeder tube (10). The outlet of the conveyor tube is above a further vibrating channel (45) ending at the above scale. Inlets of the conveyor tube and of the feeder tube form a filter, so that mainly smaller tobacco particles are fed to the fine measuring device.
