<p>The circulator has a rectangular casing with a horizontal air inlet. It contains a turbine type fan wheel which draws in air through the inlet and discharges it vertically. The circulator casing is placed near one of the vertical walls of the room and carries a vertical deflector plate on the outlet. It is fixed so that the deflector plate is parallel to the nearby vertical wall. The fan is rated to circulate the volume of air in the room once an hour. When placed in a room heated by hot water radiators, the circulate produces a gentle air movement which eliminates temperature gradients without causing draughts which would be uncomfortable to the occupants.</p> |
