<p>The machine casing has four or more parts arranged next to each other in the machine length direction, forming together a tubular unit (8). They consist of a stack of thin laminations (1), each of which has a longer, thinner section (2) with a free bevelled end. A further, shorter but thicker section (3) joins it at an angle with a straight end at a right angle to it. It has small holes (4) in it. The holes (4) serve as locations for small pegs which enable annular flanges to be attached. The design has been developed with reference to thyristor controlled dc machines.</p> |
