A bathroom shower has a spray rose which is raised and lowered on a guide, as required by the user of the shower. The spray rose can be placed on a block which travels on a vertical guide bar attached to the wall. This block is supported on wires which pass over pulleys secured top and bottom of another tube behind the guide bar. This tube houses a piston which is also attached to the wire, so as to travel as the block carrying the rose is raised and lowered. The rose is mounted on the top of a flexible tube connected at the bottom to a mixer valve with a horizontal rectangular body with a forwards projecting control lever which is swung sideways.
