Vertical blade window blind with colour change facility - has transparent sheets of neutral colour receiving inserts of different colours

The multi-blade window blind has transparent blades (16) of neutral colour which receive differently coloured veneer inserts (24). The blind has a series of sheets (16) suspended vertically at horizontal intervals from an overhead member. The sheets are rotatable about their vertical axes, and the coloured insert system enables the colour system to be changed as desired or to match furnishings. The longitudinal edges (25) of the sheets (16) are folded in (18, 20) to form grooves (22) which house the edges (27) of the insert veneer. Alternatively the veneers may be secured by stud-fasteners (23). The veneers may themselves be translucent, and one or more veneers (24, 26) may be transposed to obtain a wide range of subtle colourings.
