<p>The igniter used esp. to ignite gas, for example in gas cigarette lighter, utilises a system ensuring single or multiple ignition. The igniter has a switch with three positions for off, single and multiple ignition, and may be a two pole switch with three positions. Alternatively two switches can be provided, each with two switching positions. On switch ensures off and single ignition and other switch ensures off and multiple ignition. The on ofs switch connects the battery with the direct current converter. When the other switch is open then a single spark is produced at the electrodes. When this switch is closed then a series of sparks is produced.</p> |
