The roller shutter, which is suitable for trapezoidal windows, allows relatively simple manufacture and easy assembly. A winding-up shaft (2), which is arranged in an inclined manner in relation to the horizontal corresponding approximately to the inclination of the upper window edge, is provided, for receiving a trapezoidal armour (6) consisting of a number of lamellae (7a, 7b) which are interconnected in an articulated manner, the lamellae of the armour being aligned parallel to the inclined winding-up shaft. <IMAGE>
