<p>A weather-proof lockable box (1) for a motorcyclist's crash helmet encloses the helmet within the minimum volume and has members for fixing the box (1) to a motorcycle (10). The box (1) is in two parts (2, 3) hinged together, and sealed along the oblique join. The lock (7) is key-or combination-operated. The fixing members may be screws securing the flat base (5) of the box (1) to the luggage carrier (11); alternatively, screw-threaded rods entend from the base (5) through the carrier (11) for engagement by a counter plate and nuts. The fixing members may be the legs of a fork stradding a wheel and secured to the motorcycle. The box (1) may be fixed to the front fork, or to the motorcycle rear end bloe the luggage carrier. The box (1) may support the rear lamp and/or number plate. The box (1) may be made of plastics or metal.</p> |
