An internal combustion engine (1) drives a hydraulic transmission consisting of a pump (7) and a motor (10) which drives a vehicle. The output of the pump is controlled by a hydraulically operated regulator (26, 24) supplied by a pump (12) driven by the engine so that its volume delivery is proportional to the engine speed. The output of the control pump passes through a manually operated reversing valve (18) into one side of the cylinder (23) of the regulator of the transmission pump (7). The volume depends on the engine speed and the pressure is controlled by a variable orifice throttle (15) in a bypass on the discharge of the control pump. The orifice is varied by the output shaft (2) of a torque meter on the engine.
|
