The storage heater consists of a housing with a storage medium, and is for a system, which gains heat from the atmosphere, waste heat. The housing contains a medium, which at temps. below 100 deg.C latent, is able to store a large amount of heat per unit weight. The heat storing medium consists of salt-like solutions in water; alcohol/water mixtures, or proto-salt; a nitrate of Al, Ca, Cd, Co, Fe, Li, Mg, or Mn; a sulphate of Cd, Co, Fe, or Na; a chloride ff K, Co, Fe, or Mn; Al ammonia sulphate, Al sodium sulphate, or Al potassium sulphate; borax, soda, Na acetate, or Na thiosulphate.
