An elastic clamp is attached to one end of a loom held with a mounting at the free end of the clamp for fixing to the loom. The heald and the clamp are keyd to each other by a plastics intermediate member and/or a plastics loom mount keyed to the clamp. The arrangement reduces the risk of breakages and increases the useful life of the heald without a radical design change. Typically, the elastic clamp is a spiral spring screwed on to a stud of the intermediate member and/or a stud of the loom mount. The studs are threaded to take the coils of the spring, or they can be conical to give an attachment for the spring.
|
