<p>The connector (11) consists of a head (12) with a slightly conical shank (17). The shaft has a slot (19) along a diametrical plane and a hole (23) which is at an angle to this plane. At one side of the shank, the hole is tangential to one plane of the slot. At the other side, the hole is tangental to the other side of the slot. Sharp edges (27) are formed by the holes on the opposite sides of the slot. The connector is mounted through a hole in one of the sheets, while the second sheet is mounted in the slot of the shank. When a hammer is applied to the connector head, the sides of the holes will bend the edge of the sheets in opposite directions and secure the sheet.</p> |
