There is a fixed radar set sending RF pluses towards the skier. A control device is used to affect the waves at the instant of jumping off, and a device is used for locating the position of the wave radiation source and/or of the skier, as in 26 00 645. A reflector is provided on the skier and/or on his equipment. The reflector has a device changing its reflecting properties. The control device for reflection properties changing is connected at the instant of landing with the switching over device.
