The carpet or floor covering sample display means uses samples which are adapted for use with brackets situated at the back of the display support. The samples and brackets are fixed to each other by sliders, so that they can be folded back. The sliders are each fixed to an upper edge of a bracket which is situated at the side of the support back, and to a lower edge of an upper bracket situated at the side of the samples. The sliders are directed from the upper edge of the brackets towards the samples when the brackets are superfaced on top of each other. The brackets can be brought into a position where they form a stepped arranged in which the slides are arranged in a position opposite to the stacking or superposed position.
