<p>A sound insulating partition is formed by an evaculated space between two sheets with a vibration isolating gasket. The hollow section partition utilises two sheets of glass (a1, a2) or similar material. The sealing gasket (6) is produced from either rubber or elastomer material. For large partitions the gasket is formed as a mesh to provide sufficient contact for good isolation. The strapped space is evacuated to form a vacuum. The gasket forms a panel that can be used as a covering for walls or built in. It can also be used for doors or ceilings.</p> |
