The pipe disconnecter to be installed, in particular, in drinking-water lines has a cylinder (1), to be connected to the drinking-water supply line, a piston (2), which is displaceably guided in said cylinder, is subjected to the action of a restoring force and has a piston casing (2') passing through the cylinder floor (1<IV>), and a valve body (25) fitted on the cylinder cover (1''). In the pushed-in position of the piston (2), when the liquid supply is shut off, said valve body closes the piston casing (2') and only releases the liquid through-passage of the same when the piston casing (2') has been extended to a sufficient extent by the water pressure exerted on the piston (2) when the liquid supply stream has been released, that is to say when the piston casing (2') has been pushed, by its free casing end, into a discharge connecting stub (7) connected to the water consumer point. In order that, when the piston casing (2') is in the extended position, the valve body (25) poses a lesser obstruction to the water throughflow, operates such that it is not as susceptible to disruption and does not produce as much noise, and does not, itself, need to be sealed, the valve body (25) is fitted in the cylinder (1) such that it cannot move and is provided with a circumferential seal of such a diameter that, when the piston (2) is pushed in, the valve body projects in a sealing manner into the piston casing (2') of said piston. <IMAGE> |
