The membrane forming fluid is applied as the tube reaches its largest dia. After stretching and the application of the filtration membrane, the tube is allowed to return to its original diameter. The possibility of excessive loads being imposed upon the seam of seams of the fibrous tube due to variations in the diameter of the support pipe, during high pressure filtration or reversed osmosis, is prevented.</p> |
