<p>1440034 Vinyl chloride polymeric coating compositions UNION CARBIDE CORP 1 April 1974 [23 April 1973] 14386/74 Heading C3P [Also in Division B2] A polymer composition comprises at least one vinyl chloride copolymer having at least 50% by weight of polymerized vinyl chloride monomer and has an average inherent viscosity (as measured at 30‹ C. in cyclohexanone at a concentration of 0À2 g./dl.) of 0À2-0À55 dl./g. and a particle size of 1-75 microns. The composition may comprise a blend of at least two vinyl chloride copolymers, and may also comprise pigments, stabilizers, plasticizers, dispersants, flow control additives; cross-linking agents fungicides and bactericides. In the examples, the polymers illustrated are vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride / vinyl acetate / vinyl alcohol, vinyl chloride / vinyl acetate / maleic acid and mixtures thereof which are compounded with one or more of bisphenol A/epichlorohydrin reaction product, diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate copolymer, hexyl acrylate/isodecylacrylate copolymer, modified triazine / formaldehyderesin and titanium dioxide.
