The brake arrangement has a first brake circuit (8, 1, 3, 4, 5, 6), which feeds compressed air for the direct braking of the locomotive and is vented in order to release the brakes of the locomotive. In addition, a second brake circuit (8, 2, 9, 14, 15) is provided, which vents the brake circuit of the train in order to produce indirect braking of the train, if one is coupled up, and which delivers compressed air for releasing the brakes of the train. The arrangement has a main compressed air reservoir (8), an auxiliary compressed air reservoir (15) and a double main brake valve (1, 2), which has two jointly operated parts. One (1) of these parts is arranged in such a way that on braking, it connects the main reservoir tank (8) to the brakes (6, 7) of the locomotive in order to brake the locomotive directly. The other part (2) is arranged in such a way that it causes the brake circuit (12) of the train to be vented in order to brake the coupled train indirectly. A second valve (14) is arranged in order to keep the brake circuit of the train connected to the auxiliary reservoir tank when the brakes are released. This increases the operating reliability compared to known brake devices. <IMAGE> |
