The aluminium opening strip for parallelepiped polythene covered cardboard boxes with square bases allows the opened area of the box to be increased so that it can be used to contain paset and solid products such as cheese and cream as well as liquids. The strip (1) is placed completely along one upper edge of the box and partially or completely along the two other upper edges at right angles. The box lid is then joined on the top. The strip is about one cm. higher than the box lid so that it can be gripped and it can either be a single strip or several strips placed edge to edge.
