<p>The attachment is provided between the lifting lever and the wires connected to the corresponding heald frame on a dobby or other loom. A hook has one end harnessed to the lever, whilst the other end fits into a clasp fastening which ensures that the wires are firmly fixed. The clasp fastening has two sides between which the wires are engaged, by folding the wires back around a suitably shaped central boss. A screw mechanism ensures the retention of the wire by locking it. By locking each wire with a screw, no fitting is required, and the unsheathing of the wire is not needes so that it remains completely protected against rust. The length of the wire can be adjusted easily to take up slack.</p> |
