A vehicle turn-indicating flashing-light system comprises windings (12, 18) on a magnetic core (35) which may or may not be the core of the winding (37) of the vehicle lights. The winding (18) supplies a low voltage to the diode (19) which rectifies it for charging the condenser (20) so permitting the operation of the flasher circuit (C). The winding (12) supplies a voltage which after rectification by the diode (13) charges the condenser (15) which supplies power to the flashing lamps (2, 3 or 4, 5) via the transistor (29). The improved power output allows the use of 24 volt lamps in parallel. The condenser (15) is protected by a Zenerdiode (36) against excess voltage when a lamp fails. A variable resistance (171) allows adjustment of the threshold voltage, rate of flashing, and output voltage of the flasher circuit (C).
|
