A stable emulsified antifoaming compsn. is prepd. by (1) dissolving an emulsifier (I) in water; (2) dispersing a liquid dimethylpolysiloxane in the (I) soln; (3) adding a silaxane treated SiO2 filler to the dispersion and (4) mixing until a homogeneous compsn. is obtd. which does not separate into two layers. The process is uncomplicated and economical. The compsn. has improved antifoaming properties and storage stability. It is used for polymerisations, sugar refining oil drilling and refining, paper manufacturing, dewatering processes, dyeing of textiles, ore flotation, etc. |
