PISTON PUMPS HAVING AUTOMATIC FEED ACTION

Self priming piston pump esp. for hydraulic braking systems of motor vehicles, has a drive cam shaft the cam of which drive a spring loaded pump piston which during movement opens and closes with the control edge an inlet for an unpressurised liquid from a container. The piston pump also includes a pump outlet valve. The self priming piston pump (11) is located in an inline circuit with a free piston pump (14) and the inlet stroke of the self priming pump is asynchronised with the pumping stroke of the free-piston pump (14). The outlet valve of the self priming pump (11) also acts as inlet valve of the free piston pump.
