The solid prefabricated building slabs, for wall or ceiling construction provides max. heat insulation. Planks (1) serve as the load-bearing slab component, set close together and tongue-and-groove (2) connected at their longitudinal edges, and one or more insulation layers are provided on both surfaces. The tongue can be slightly longer than the combined depth of the grooves in two adjacent planks. A space for insulating glass wool (7), or service ducts, may be left between two insulation layers. There may be planks running crossways to end the slat at top and bottom. Reinforcing ribs may be added to boards being used in ceilings.
