<p>The whole structure, for a hut, greenhouse or similar building, is made up from a rigid rod framework with a stretched foil membrane fastened to it. The roof structure has a foil membrane between lengthways rigid elements, and a succession of cross-struts or rafters covered by the membrane. Each rafter is hinged on the girders, and can be extended lengthways and arched elastically. There are thrust units to arch them relative to the foil membrane and stretch the latter across them. They are fitted with retainer elements to hold each rafter in its arched position. The rafters may be telescopically extensible, and of tubular construction.</p> |
