The plug and socket assembly, for voltage arresters and other electrical components with wire connections, has holes (3a) in the upper end faces of its contact pins (12) for the terminal legs of the electrical component. The pins are held in an insulating upper part (4) with finger-grip serrations on its upward-projecting sides. The pins fit into sockets in an insulating lower part (1). The lower part sockets have connection tags projecting from them for external connection wires.
